Hi Manoj,
Happy Friday!
Before I dive into the new resource, can you help me out? I've been having difficulty with emails actually getting delivered to teachers lately, and a couple of simple steps can help signal to inboxes that my emails are valuable and trustworthy.
*If you are reading this email, can you help me out by doing one of the following:
1. Click any of the links in this email (you can close the page right away, but 'clicking' something will help!)
2. Reply to this email to say, "I got it!" or share anything else you'd like!
However, if you are no longer interested, or just need to declutter your inbox, you can use the link at the bottom of this email to 'unsubscribe.' (no hard feelings, I promise!)
Ok, on to the good stuff!
It's been awhile since I've sent a Friday freebie, so I thought I would send over one more activity you can use on Valentine's Day to challenge your students to think flexibly and fluently with numbers.
The challenge includes 3 different versions, so hopefully one of these will be *just right* for your students. But it also includes a "create your own" version, which can really challenge your kids who want to dig deeper!
Download this activity using the link below--no need to hop to my website or shop!
(And as a reminder-->if you teach grades 5-8, take a peek at the bonus resources available to Math Geek Mama+ members this month! To help you weave in meaningful math fun for Valentine's Day (and St. Patrick's Day), I've got some exclusive resources to give to everyone who joins in the month of February.)
Learn more below!
Seasonal Math Games BONUS:
This month, I have a collection of Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day games as an additional bonus for everyone who joins Math Geek Mama+.
This includes 6 different activities for 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade, so you can use the resources for your grade level, or you can mix and match to find some fun and engaging challenges that are just right for your students.
This includes 3 Valentine's themed activities and 3 St. Patrick's Day themed activities for each grade level.
Use these as sub plans, for early finishers, as extra credit, or just as a fun break from your normal math routine (while still pushing and challenging your students!).
If you haven't checked out Math Geek Mama+ yet, here are a few benefits of being a "plus" member:
- Access to the ad-free website with ALL Math Geek Mama resources for grades 5-8
- New resources added each month (and sent straight to your inbox!)
- Student-centered materials that can supplement your math curriculum to stretch & engage your students
If you want more details about what's included, see the current Math Geek Mama+ catalog HERE.

Valentine's Day Number Sense Challenge:
This activity, called "Cupid's Arrow," challenges kids to find a combination using exactly 3 of Cupid's arrows to achieve the target score.
How many different combinations can they find?? Are there infinite solutions, exactly one, exactly two, etc.? I hope this sparks some fun math conversations with your kids!

Also as a quick heads up--I usually send new resources on Sunday evening...but here in the U.S. most folks will be watching a particular football game this Sunday.
But that's not going to stop me! Be on the lookout for a brand new place value resource coming this Sunday evening. :)
I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
Blessings,
