🍎 Apple Math Ideas, Games & STEM for Fall!

Hi Manoj, It's hard to believe it's almost September! The start of this new school year has been busy and hectic at my house, but it's also nice to be back in a routine. Back to school time always has me thinking about learning with apples and about apples. I miss all the fun hands-on learning we did when my kids were little! I may just have to come up with some middle school apple math ideas soon . ;) If you love apple-themed resources too, I hope the ideas below are helpful! There is so much math you can explore with apples: use whole apples, apple slices, the seeds, etc. as the perfect hands-on manipulative to really see math concepts . I hope you enjoy the resources at the links below! Apple Math Games & Printables: The articles below include simple, hands-on math ideas that you can explore using apples. You can also grab a fun 'about me' activity for the first week of school if you haven't started yet. :) >>Apple Tr...

❤️ Simple Valentine's Day Math Ideas for You

Hi Manoj, Here we are--it's already February and Valentine's Day is just around the corner! It comes up so fast! I enjoy celebrating this with my kids. I do miss the days when we would use some of the resources below (they've outgrown so many!), but I've still got some engaging games up my sleeve for this year. ;) And I *might* have bought myself a bag of "fave reds" starburst candies as a treat to myself, LOL. If you plan to shower your kids or your students with love this Valentine's Day, I hope you'll be able to incorporate one of the low-prep math ideas below! There are lots of ideas below, for kids of all ages, so I hope you can find at least one thing to use in your math lessons to change things up a bit. :) And if you teach grades 5-8 , take a peek at the bonus resources available to Math Geek Mama+ members this month! To help you weave in meaningful math fun for Valentine's Day (and St. Patrick's Day), I'v...
