Hi Manoj,
If you've been following me for a little while, you probably know that I am a huge fan of number talks & math talk in general.
My classroom was rarely quiet (only during tests, probably?) because I LOVE hearing the buzz of students sharing ideas, discussing math thoughts or comparing strategies.
(To be clear, the noise wasn't *always* the result of deep & profound math talk...sometimes it was just teenagers discussing their weekend or gushing over their latest crush...🤷🏻♀️).
But getting students to the point where they are comfortable sharing ideas & discussing open-ended problems as a group is not easy, and not something that happens overnight.
So if you're looking for some ideas to get students talking about math in the new year, I have some great new resources for you!

As a quick note: this is the last newsletter you'll receive from me until after Christmas. In addition, I will be taking some time away to spend with friends & family, so I may be slower to respond to email. But I look forward to sharing lots of new ideas & resources with you in the new year!
Have a wonderful holiday, friends!
Blessings,
